I am looking into WebP and have a quick question, hope you don't mind helping me. Does WebP use standard quantization tables meaning the quantization table is not sent as part of the file ? If so where is the quantization level stored/encoded in the file ?

Hi Venkatesh,
WebP lossy uses the same format as an intra frame of VP8, so the dequantization tables in VP8 spec apply.
