Making vpx streamable in MPEG-TS

Hello,

 

I have done some patch yesterday to support the streaming of vpx in mpegts with Gstreamer ( https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=776948 ).

This is an interesting way to be able to stream vpx in multicast environment (which is not really targeted by webm) as well as some other adaptive streaming protocol reliying on ts.

 

At the moment there are no specifications nor draft describing how to mux VPX in MPEG-TS, if I am right. Is this something discussed by the past ?

 

Gstreamer teams rejected this patch as it is not based on the draft, do anybody in the core team would be interested in working on this?
