Hello All,

I just ported linwebp to encode raw grayscale8 but the result is no good.
Same input with same config encodes very well on Mac and Linux.
I guess something related to compiler or platform I am using.

Anyone have/had similar problem?
Config:
lossless = 0
quality = 80.000000
method = 4
image_hint = 0
target_size = 0
target_PSNR = 0.000000
segments = 4
sns_strength = 50
filter_strength = 60
filter_sharpness = 0
filter_type = 1
autofilter = 0
alpha_compression = 1
alpha_filtering = 1
alpha_quality = 100
pass = 1
show_compressed = 0
preprocessing = 0
partitions = 0
partition_limit = 0
emulate_jpeg_size = 0
thread_level = 0
low_memory = 0
near_lossless = 100
exact = 0
use_delta_palette = 0
use_sharp_yuv = 0

Original and macosx Images are attached.

Would you mind filing a bug for this at https://bugs.chromium.org/p/webp/issues/entry? It would be helpful to include the libwebp version (or git describe) and some details about the compiler and configure/cmake command line used. It's not out the question there's a compiler bug, we have run into some in the past.

I am in a rush to conclude the dev of an embedded camera product and may not have time to prepare what would be required for this investigation. I would need to create a IAR project with the all image and lib files to run on ARM simulator using NXP SKD.

I will do so later as I really want to also support WebP format.

Thanks,
MV

I actually had some time this morning...
Here is the report:

It has a test project that runs on IAR ARM emulator. IAR provides 30 days demo for its Workbench.

Regards,
Marcelo

Thanks for filing the bug, we can move the discussion there.
