Motion-Constrained Tile support in VP9

Hi there,

VP9 has implemented column/row tiles in order to accelerate the encoding process.

Will VP9 support Motion-Constrained Tiling (each tile independently encapsulate with NALu)  support to power 360 streaming needs?

From the VP9 bitstream specifications I got "Tile: a rectangular region of the frame that is intended to be able to be decoded and encoded independently, although loop-filtering across tile edges may still be applied"

In which condition will "loop-filtering" applies to the decoding process in implementations?

This can be done in a way by stitching individual frames (which may contain tiles) together. AV1 expanded on this with its large scale tile support [1].

Loop filtering operates on the entire frame, across tile boundaries, though tile columns in VP9 are coded independently. This is an optional step and can be disabled, though it will impact the frame quality.
