Hello Waterloo Cycling Club!  It's time to get signed up for Your Big Ride!

For 2018 Your Big Ride will be on Saturday August 25th. This year there will once again be three distances, with each distance being approximately double the distance normally covered by our Recreational, Intermediate and Fast groups on a Saturday.

We will once again have mechanical support sponsored by Velofix, nutrition during the ride, and volunteers setting up lunch sponsored by Freshii - Northfield & Weber.

Organizing committee:
Andrew Meyer
Sylvia Tatarek
Brian Legge
Brent Doberstein
Scott Nevin
Rob Wilson
Jason Pollard

Our fundraising goal for 2018 has been set at $15,000 and there will once again be a $200 minimum fundraising requirement.

Our ask...

Please register as soon as possible on the Memory Makers website to start fundraising and then RSVP to the event you plan on riding (you can always change later). We need as much notice as possible to make sure we've got enough volunteers, drivers, nutrition for the ride, and the right amount of lunch.

Step 1: Join the Team on Memory Makers

Step 2:
RSVP for the pace and distance you plan on riding

WCC and the Big Ride adventure 2018
I want to thank Brent for the exacting sag support he gave us. Calling audibles on the go!
I want to thank our very determined intermediate group joined by the rec group. The weaker riders tried harder, the stronger riders pulled longer, we started as a group and stayed together as a group all day.  In retrospect that was my most enjoyable ride for the year. Great memories were made. Great monies raised for a great local cause.

Agreed. Well organized ride thanks to our dedicated volunteers. The weather wasn't cooperative but everyone seemed to have a good time and no one spoke about cutting the ride short.  Thanks everyone for making this ride a success for WCC and Alzheimers.

Thanks Brian! It was a challenging day to plan for that's for sure. After the lightning pause at Blyth I'm just glad all of the 100k/160k riders could get in at least 100 -145 kms on the day.
