I don't know if others already knew about this, so I'm posting it anyways.  The Country Sisters Coffee Plus stop at the intersection of Road 121 and Hwy 86 is gone.  This has been a favourite place for riders in the area to stop for butter tarts and water.  I was riding the loop around Conestoga Lake today and was planning to stop there to top up my water before heading back, only to see a new building now being erected in its place.  Fortunately I was able to get more water in Millbank.

Anyways, I thought I'd post to ensure this wider audience was aware.

Ride safely ;)

It burned down a few months ago.

Anna Mae's in Millbank is also closed right now, a staff member has COVID.

Oh no. It was a great place for coffee and homemade muffins. Gonna miss it.

Not to worry. It is being rebuilt. We were past last weekend and the foundation has been poured and some of the walls are already up.

Yes, they are rebuilding... and it will be better than ever I expect. The old place really wasn't conducive to stop overs, but the baked goods were amazing. They are still baking and offering up their goods for sale, in a tent out front of their house, just up the road from the corner. They have fresh baking and water/pop for purchase there if you are in need.
I would hope they are finished with the new building this year, but it will probably be after summer riding season is over. We will have to wait until next spring to make our inaugural stop at the new location.
Yes, Anna Mae's is closed for a couple weeks as one of their employees contracted COVID. They posted it directly on their Facebook page, to be open and honest. It wasn't a person who worked with the public, but they are just being a responsible business. I hope everyone stays healthy and recovers quickly.
Ride safe everyone!
Kevin
