June 20 Community Cycling Day

As a part of the annual Grade 5 "One bid Idea" competition with the City of Waterloo, Claire de Koning of Keatsway Public School was selected to be a Councillor for the day for her idea to launch a community cycling day.  

The City of Waterloo Active Transportation and Trails Committee is going to help Claire implement her idea.  Please consider participating in a Family Cycling event June 20.  With police and by-law support riders will meet at 6pm at Keatsway Public School then ride (primarily through Waterloo Park) to the Public Square in UpTown Waterloo.  A community campfire will be happening that evening in the Public square and participants will need to make arrangements for returning home on their own after the event.

I think this is a awesome way for the Waterloo Cycling Club to support beginner cyclists.
