Our 2021 clothing is ready for ordering!

https://ppr.louisgarneau.com/waterloocyclingclub1lg0295

Garneau continues as our clothing vendor, and we’re still using the same PPR website.  If you’ve bought clothing in the past, you can use the same login credentials as before.

For this order, we’ve stuck with a core offering of items - we’ll be looking at perhaps an order in the fall for colder weather gear like long sleeve jerseys, jackets and vests. With the restrictions due to the pandemic, we won’t be doing a fit night. The good news is while the names of some items have changed, the fit remains the same.  See below for some notes on each piece.

As a reminder, this is custom clothing, each piece is made to order, so we’re unable to offer returns or exchanges if you’ve sized incorrectly.  If you are unsure of your sizing and unwilling to take the risk of a less than ideal fit, consider waiting until the fall or next year when hopefully we can be back to business as usual with fit nights.

Retro Kit:

During the design process, the committee came up with a second, retro-themed kit. We liked it so much we decided to offer it as a special variant.  The design harkens back to some of the earliest club designs, and is available in our most popular style, the Slick jersey and the Lazer bibs (Now called the Pacer jersey and bibs.)

Notes on each style:

Course Speed Jersey:  the course speed Jersey was known as the Mondo jersey in previous years.  This is the top-tier jersey, meant to be worn very close to the body, with a compressive fit.  Many members find they prefer to size up the jersey one size.

Pacer Jersey:  The pacer jersey was known as the Slick jersey in previous years. For the past 3 years, this has been the top seller in the club. The fit is standard for cycling apparel.

Tour Jersey:  The tour jersey keeps the same name as before, and has the same excellent value. The fit is standard, with perhaps a touch more space than the pacer.

Pacer Bib:  The pacer bib was formerly known as the Lazer bib. They have a lazer cut silicone gripper band, and have the 4.1 motion chamois.

Tour bib:  The tour bib returns as well, with a fold over hem, flatlock seams, and an Airzone Chamois, and is an excellent value.

Skinsuits: Skinsuits are back after several years off. Last time the club had skinsuit was ~ 2016, with Sugoi. Garneau’s course skinsuit is a favourite for road and cyclocross racers.  With a full length zip, with a wide font opening, it’s easier to get on and off than a typical time trial style skinsuit, and is incredibly comfortable.  Sizing a skinsuit can be tricky. But if you know your sizing on the Mondo jersey (aka the Course speed) and the lazer bib shorts, you can use those sizes to guide you.

(Personally, I wear medium in the mondo and almost all the Garneau range, with jackets and thermal jerseys I go large.  I’ve got both large and medium skinsuits and both fit well.  The large goes well with baselayers, while the medium is good for a tight, race-day fit - Kevin G)
