1.) Webinar: Veterans in the Water Workforce – February 29, 2024 (12-1:30pm) – Participants will hear from organizations reaching out to train and hire veterans so they can play a role in protecting water infrastructure. 2.) Applications Accepted: Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps – Application Deadline: March 7, 2024 (4pm) – Young adults (ages 18-25) are placed with nonprofit organizations or government agencies to work fulltime in the environmental field for a one-year term of service. The Corps provides young professionals with development training, mentorship, and a stipend. The program runs from August 14, 2024 to August 13, 2025.
