Viticulture Notes, January 2022, Cold hardiness

Hi all,

We had some concerns about the low temperatures of earlier this week with respect to grapevine cold hardiness and the potential for cold injury. The attached notes summarize our findings of a limited survey of varieties here at the AHS Jr. Agricultural Research and Extension Center. So far, so good, but it might be a good idea to do some checking in your own vineyard.
