Happy March!

Please review our upcoming vineyard meetings listed below.  Most of the meetings in March are virtual meetings with a couple in-person meetings on the horizon.  Please note the VVA meeting scheduled for May 12 &13 in Charlottesville.

Dormant pruning is the major task taking place in vineyards now.  Here is a primer covering the basics of dormant pruning of grapevines: https://extension.psu.edu/dormant-cane-and-spur-pruning-in-bunch-grape-vineyards

Pest management is the theme for our vineyard meetings in March.  Some meetings listed below are offered in Spanish.   Dr. Mizuho Nita has helpful pest management resources posted on his blog: https://ext.grapepathology.org/   Please note the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) trainings available at some of these meetings.  Employees working in vineyards or other areas treated with pesticides are required to go through these trainings.

Thank you,
