Good morning all,

Most parts of the state and region are expected to experience a wide range of weather and temperatures this week, from potentially severe storms today to sub-freezing temperatures tomorrow and Wednesday morning.

Many of you may be familiar with the freeze/frost and weather alerts that Dr. Mark Hoffman, Viticulture and Strawberry Production Specialist with NC State Extension, releases ahead of such events. We are thankful that Virginia is included in these forecasts.

Please see this link for a forecast for the region and links to detailed forecasts for locations within Virginia for this week (scroll to the bottom for the list of specific locations): https://strawberries.ces.ncsu.edu/news/awis-weather-report-rain-and-freezefrost-alert/

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, and I hope everyone stays safe with the stormy weather forecasted for today.

All the best,
Drew
