Good afternoon All and Happy Monday!
Drew and I will be hosting a tasting and roundtable discussion on April 29 from 1-4 PM at Zephaniah Farm Vineyard focusing on wines I vinified from the 2025 harvest with grapes from the variety trial block. Many of you that attended the VVA technical
meeting last summer at the Winchester AREC appreciated Dana and Drew's presentations and information regarding the viticultural aspects of the new varieties, but wondered if they make good wine (rightly so!). This workshop will be your chance to taste some
of the first ever wines vinified from grapes like Fleurtai, Soreli, Ambulo Blanc (and more!). I fermented following basic industry protocols with as minimal interventions as possible so that varietal expression could shine through to give you all an idea of
their potential.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, musings, etc.
If you are unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts, distance, etc. but have significant interest in the event,
please send me an email and we will consider holding a second session (likely elsewhere in the Commonwealth to spread the love) if there is enough interest and need.
I look forward to seeing familiar faces and some new ones, too!
Cheers,
--
