Recruiting for Spotted lanternfly spray trials

Dr. Doug Pfeiffer (dgpf...@vt.edu), Professor of Fruit Entomology at VT, is recruiting grape growers who have had SLF populations in or near their vineyards to participate in spray trials this year. He hopes to evaluate a number of products to collect efficacy data. If interested, please send an email to either Dr. Pfeiffer (dgpf...@vt.edu) or myself (dha...@vt.edu). 

Pruning workshop and competition - March 4, 10:00-12:30 pm, Jiya Vineyards (Loudoun) 

We will be holding a viticulture workshop and pruning competition on March 4th, from 10:00am-12:30 pm, at Jiya Vineyards (13452 Harpers Ferry Rd., Hillsboro, VA, 20132). Please see the attached flier for details. We will go over how to prune established vines and those in different stages of establishment, talk about things to consider when pruning, and have some friendly fun with a pruning competition. MyEV Training Webinar: Developing Maps and Integrating Site Data - Feb 28

Hosted by Dr. Patty Skinkis (Oregon State University), Dr. Terry Bates (Cornell University), and Nick Gunner (Orbitist) and part of the HiRes Vineyard Nutrition Project, this webinar will go over the basics of using the MyEV (My Efficient Vineyard) online platform for vineyard data mapping and analysis.
