New for 2025! We will be offering a virtual option for attendance at this meeting. So, you may attend in-person, or you may attend virtually through a provided Zoom link upon receipt of a paid registration. Important note: all virtual attendees must pay for their own registration, regardless of whether you view the meeting alone or with others.
The agenda will feature the Call of the States, Call of the Industry, and a Plenary Session with the keynote presentations highlighting how recent changes to regulations with the Endangered Species Act, labor, and tariffs are impacting the tree fruit industry. Following the Plenary Session, we will have our third-annual student competition presentations (all consecutively so that everyone may attend). Thereafter, we will have a mixer and awards for the winning presentations. As we did last year, we will select the best student presentation under each category (i.e., horticulture, plant pathology, and entomology). We will provide a $300 award to each of the three student winners. Please encourage your students to submit meeting abstracts 2 weeks prior to the conference date (by November 21st at the latest), to be eligible for the competition. Abstracts should be emailed directly to the current President, Karly Regan (kre...@certisbio.com).
On Day 2, we will have three concurrent presentation sessions on horticulture, entomology, and plant pathology as well as our business meeting. Presentation topics shall reflect our research and/or extension efforts concerning fruit crops. All presenters will have a total of 15 minutes, but please try to leave at least 2 of those minutes for questions. A/V equipment for PowerPoint presentations will be provided. The deadline for submission of a presentation request is November 14th.
