Venture Out is Hiring

Work for Virginia Tech's outdoor program and help Hokies connect with wild places.

Venture Out is hiring staff that are interested in making outdoor experiences accessible to the Virginia Tech community. We are accepting applications for office assistant positions starting Spring 2026. Once hired, staff will have the chance to work as a leader in training and team building facilitator roles as well as the opportunity to move into higher positions. No experience required; all training will be provided.  We have a strong preference for candidates looking to move into positions with the trips program.

All positions start at $13/hr. The deadline to apply for positions starting in the spring is November 2nd. Follow this link to submit an application.

Our ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, an excitement for the outdoors, and an eagerness to serve others. We encourage international students and candidates with no outdoor experience to apply.

If you have questions about the position, reach out to ventu...@vt.edu.
