Dear students,
We know it’s a busy moment in the semester as we head into break!
From time to time, we receive requests to share information about ongoing research related to the improvement of international student experiences.
Below is an opportunity to participate in a brief survey that aims to understand the challenges that students who are also parents face.
The research project is led by a team in Virginia Tech’s award-winning Department of Engineering Education.
We share this in the spirit of research-based ongoing improvement!
Best regards,
Cranwell International Center

Hello students,
We are conducting a survey focused on the unique experiences of students who are also parents, and we would greatly appreciate your input. This survey is open to all student parents, whether you are studying part-time or full-time.
This study is conducted under IRB #24-1163.
Our goal is to better understand the challenges student parents face, the resources you use, and the additional support that would improve your academic and personal experiences. Your feedback is crucial to helping us identify ways to enhance the resources and programs available for student parents at Virginia Tech, and other four-year institutions.
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. You will also have the option to opt into future communication if you are interested in participating in more in-depth interviews about these topics.
Please open the survey to read more.
Your insights are incredibly valuable, and we thank you for considering this opportunity to share your voice.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Mark Huerta Assistant Professor Department of Engineering Education
