1. April 8th - Women in Data Science (WiDS) Blacksburg regional even
On April 8th there will be a Women in Data Science (WiDS) Blacksburg regional event held at Virginia Tech. The website is linked here. Please register by April 5th (today!). This event is open to anyone interested in data science. With a hybrid format this year, we hope to have attendees on campus from Virginia Tech and the Blacksburg community, as well as the New River and Roanoke Valleys.  We would also love to have Virginia Tech alumni join us via Zoom. Students of all ages (from high school to graduate school) will find topics of interest, as will those who have already launched their data science careers. Please register here by April 5th.

2. April 11-27th - ARC introduction and orientation workshops and training sessions
ARC is providing six 90-minute workshops in April in three topic areas (two instances of each topic). They provide the basic information and common workflows employed to leverage ARC resources for your research. You can attend them in sequence or pick a topic that interests you most.
