The ZPU-5000 uses a TCP connection to communicate but requires a logical address to be identified on the network. By default, the logical address is the serial number of the ZPU. You can find it on the screen or on the label at the back of the device. It is important to note that this logical address must be unique on the ZOOM network.
If you need to replace a ZPU-5000, you will need to change the configuration to assign the new logical address. To do this:
- Identify the logical address of the ZPU

- Open the ZOOM Configuration application.
- Select the File > Open menu.

- Select the server from the drop-down list and click Connect.
- Select the database and click OK.

- Select the ZPU-5000 tab and double-click on the desired ZPU.
Change the "Address" field and click OK.
Do not forget to click the Save button.
The ZPU will then be identified by the server and will receive its configuration.
