How to Update ZPU Firmware with the ZOOM Update Tool

In some situations, it may be necessary to update the firmware on the ZPU (ZOOM Processing Unit):

• Replacing a ZPU in a cabinet.
• Adding or removing a plugin, such as Modbus or Thermawatch stator.

For ZOOM Version 7.2 and later, if the ZPU is connected to the network, you can easily update its firmware using the ZOOM Update application on the server:

Open the "Update" menu and select "Update equipment...".
   

A list of all generators and ZPUs will be displayed. Identify the ZPU that is not up to date and click the "Remotely" button in the "Update" column.


The ZPU will display an "Updating" status.


The message "Processing unit not connected" indicates that the ZPU is rebooting.


The ZPU is now ready for use.
