Whenever a HIPOT test is performed on your stator, it is important to protect your Airgap sensors from any harm that could happen during your test.
Things to look out for before you start the test:
Isolate the SMA connector of your Airgap sensor’s integral cable from any conductive material.
If your sensor has a ground lug, isolate it in the same manner as your SMA connector.
Isolate the SMA connector of your extension cable from any conductive material.
Isolate the ground lug of your extension cable in the same manner as your SMA connector.
Disconnect the SMA connector from your LIN module and isolate it.
Disconnect the ground lug of the extension cable from your LIN module and isolate it.
You can now safely perform your HIPOT test without damaging your VibroSystM equipment.
