Welcome to the Alpha Testing Group for Sail TV!
Thank you for volunteering to help us test Sail, a next-generation streaming and media application built specifically for Android TV / Fire TV / Google TV. Your feedback during this closed testing phase is incredibly valuable and will directly shape the public release.
🚀 How to Get Started (Read Carefully)
To install the app on your television, you must complete these three steps using the same Google/Gmail account that is currently logged into your Android TV device:
Join this Group: Click the button above to join this Google Group. (This automatically whitelist-authorizes your Google account in the Play Store).
Opt-In on the Web: Click this link from your phone or computer to officially become an alpha tester:

Download on Your TV: Once you click "Become a Tester," open the Google Play Store directly on your TV, search for "Sail", and it will be available for you to download and install.
📺 Testing Focus
While exploring the app, please keep an eye out for:
D-Pad Navigation: Does moving the remote control arrows feel fluid? Are there any screens where you get "stuck" and can't move the selection focus?
Video Playback: Are streams loading smoothly? Any buffering or audio-sync issues?
UI Scaling: Does everything look crisp on your TV resolution? Are text elements easy to read from across the room?
🪲 How to Report Bugs & Feedback
If you experience a crash, don't worry! Our crash reporting tool automatically captures the data. However, for UI bugs, feature requests, or general feedback, please:
Create a New Conversation right here in this group.
Include the specific hardware you are using (e.g., Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, Sony TV).
Include a brief description of what you were doing when the issue occurred.
