Hello! New to the Group! Looking to restore a Brother Geobook NB-80c

Hey everyone! 

I just found this group online and I'm super excited to connect with fellow retro tech lovers. It's kinda funny to hear it called "retro" since it was all new to me when those computers first came out. I've had a bunch of old gadgets and devices over the years because I've always been into tech. I lost a lot of them, but I recently snagged a few of my favorites on eBay and Mercari. I'm really into mobile devices that weren't super popular back in the day, and I’m still a huge fan of the Newton. One cool find I got on eBay was my first real "laptop," the Brother Geobook NB-80c. I’m hoping someone here can help me clean it up and get it working again. Can’t wait to learn from all of you!

I'm also new to the group and am looking forward to attending attending VCF West. I've recently been restoring a few compact Macs and a TRS-80 Model 1. In addition I've been building a collection of small scale retro replicas. So far I have three models that you can see here:
