United Students for Fair Trade would like to invite you to "Voices of Hope in a Time of Crisis" on November 8th, at the Cooper Union in New York City.
Join us in the discussion on how we can combat against environmental catastrophe and economic inequality in a localized and grassroots level.
Speakers in this event include Chris Hedges, Laura Flanders, Charles Eisenstein, Helena Norberg-Hodge and many others.
Specific topics also include "Trade Treaties and Food Sovereignty," "Local Food, Local Economies," "Climate Justice and Place-based Resilience," and "The Economics of Happiness."
We will also be celebrating the launch of the International Alliance for Localization – a new global network to connect the growing number of individuals and organizations dedicated to exploring localized approaches to today's ecological, social, and economic problems.
