April 22-26: USFT and our allies are joining forces for a spring campaign to stop fast track for the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Will you join us?

This week, President Obama is traveling to Asia to finalize the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) “free trade” agreement. He will do everything in his power to convince Japan and Malaysia to drop their objections to the parts of the TPP that would make medications more expensive, give foreign corporations more power, and roll back financial regulations.
You can bet that the President won’t be mentioning that if Congress doesn’t pass a Fast Track bill, he can’t guarantee any of the promises he makes to the Japanese and Malaysian leaders. That is why it is up to you to make sure that the world knows the real story.
While the President is in Asia this week putting the pressure on Japan and Malaysia to make concessions on the TPP, corporate donors are in the districts putting the pressure on U.S. Members of Congress to support Fast Track.
Thanks to your activism, the majority of House Democrats have come out publicly in opposition to Fast Track. There are, however, a few members who still have not taken a position and are in danger of being swayed by corporate campaign contributions. Make sure your voice speaks louder than money.
