Hello USFT!

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving weekend. I know its finals week or approaching that time for many of you.

As you procrastinate through all those final projects, join us in a week of social media bird-dogging (friendly harassment) to get those last key Congressmen/women to commit to vote no on Fast Track for the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Each day we will be targeting a new person, so spend a couple minutes posting/tweeting at them in between papers and exam cramming (we all know you'll be on Facebook/Twitter way too much this week anyways).

Here is the link for the “how to”:http://www.exposethetpp.org/How_To_Social_Media_Bird-Dogging.pdf. It also has sample language for the tweets and Facebook posts. You can also follow USFT on Facebook and Twitter and just copy/paste or repost. We are going to target a different one each day (and you definitely don't need to be in their district to participate)

Tuesday
Congressman Ed Perlmutter (Colorado)
Twitter: @RepPerlmutter

Wednesday
Congressman John Barrow (Georgia)
Twitter:  @repjohnbarrow

Thursday
Congressman Jared Polis (Colorado)
Twitter:  @jaredpolis and @RepJaredPolis

Friday
Congressman William Lacy Clay (Missouri)
Twitter:  @LacyClayMO1

Tomorrow we will also be participating in a Global Day of Action Against Toxic Trade Agreements! As the WTO gathers in Bali, over a hundred grassroots organizations will be rising up against trade agreements that hurt farmers, workers, and the environment. Follow us on Facebook to stay updated, and let me know if you want to throw something together last minute to join us!

Happy studying!

In solidarity,

Natalie Yoon
