Good morning all,
The following webinar was shared by one of the members of the National States Geographic Information Council.
The Geospatial Professional Network (GPN) Mid-Atlantic Chapter is a volunteer organization recognized for delivering quality educational programs to the Mid-Atlantic geospatial community. For the 2026 virtual event, GPN MAC will feature speakers from both the public and private sectors who are working to strengthen ADA compliance and promote equitable access to geospatial information. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) establishes expectations for equal access in physical and digital environments, and GIS plays a vital role in advancing these goals. GIS technology supports efforts to improve accessibility for sidewalks, curb ramps, transit stops, trails, and public facilities, as well as the development of accessible web maps, dashboards, and applications that meet WCAG standards.
Thank you,
