|
We are excited to announce the Theme for the Fall 2025 Conference taking place in Falmouth, MA:
GIS: The Bridge to Innovation
Similar to how bridges connect people to beautiful Cape Cod, our GIS community knows first-hand how GIS brings people and technology together with forward thinking and innovation.
While we are accepting abstract submissions on any topic, we are also looking for submissions that can speak to the amazing local work taking place on Cape Cod and the Islands.
Please consider submitting an abstract on any of the specific topics presented below:
• Coastal or Climate resiliency
• Climate change
• Coastal processes and erosion

Monday Morning Keynote - John Nelson is a map maker, software experience designer, and writer
at Esri creating fringe geographic data, curious web experiences, marginally educational blogs, and debatably instructional videos. He works in a small woodshed in Michigan and relishes the opportunity to chat with other map folks.
Tuesday Morning Keynote - Jin-Si Over is a geographer with the USGS - Woods Hole Coastal
and Marine Science Center. A drone pilot and structure-from-motion specialist, she supports the Remote Sensing Coastal Change group and Aerial Imaging and Mapping group with GIS and surveying experience from Alaska to North Carolina to Cape Cod. She received
her BSc at UNC-Wilmington, her MSc at the University of Victoria, and has worked with Rutgers University and the National Park Service on coastal monitoring/mapping prior to her current position with the USGS. In her spare time she forages for mushrooms and
plays a lot of Wingspan.
