I am writing to express my interest in joining the ICU project as a contributor. I have reviewed the contribution guidelines and development process, and I am eager to collaborate with the team to help improve and maintain the project.

Please let me know the next steps or any additional information required from my end to proceed with granting contributor access to the GitHub project and Jira issue tracker.

ICU is an open source project, so contributing is a matter of finding issues you're interested in and contributing fixes. There is a CLA that you need to sign first.

I would first read carefully through CONTRIBUTING.md before anything else. It contains links to all of the other information you would need to learn about ICU in general, as well as how to get set up for contributing, etc.
