Tomorrow (Monday) at 6:00 pm, Philadelphia-based author, Quaker, and climate activist Eileen Flanagan will be speaking at Scuppernong about her latest book, Common Ground: How the Crisis of the Earth is Saving Us from Our Illusion of Separation. The book dives deep into the ways people of all ages, races, and political stripes can come together in the face of a government hijacked by special interests that tries to divide us. She argues that more than technology or even elections, it is acting in solidarity with all life that is humanity’s best hope for survival.
Her
book talk will be a conversation with bestselling author Elizabeth Kostova:
