The Chatham County Public Health Department is partnering with the Region IV Public Health Training Center’s Pathways to Practice program to host a student intern during the spring semester. This position will work closely with health department staff to communicate health information and deliver health education to Chatham County residents. Specifically, this position will be responsible for promoting initiatives related to tobacco and vaping prevention/cessation, substance use prevention, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health through social media as well as educational programming.
Students selected to be a Pathways to Practice Scholar will receive an award total of $3500 for the field placement program from the R-IV PHTC Central Office at Emory University.
Deadline to apply is December 6, 2024 with a desired start date of January 13th. The weekly work schedule is flexible with some hours working remote.
