Hi all,

The recent upgrade of jQuery to 1.9 has caused a problem with one of the plugins we use for the University Website Assets:  Superfish Menus.  This plugin has been around for sometime, but uses a function that was deprecated in version 1.8 of jQuery. This function has been removed  in version 1.9.  Any script loading after that point isn't working.

Effects of this will vary based on your site and implementation, but all reports this morning are related to Google Translate.  I'll be pushing a patch to our common.js file that will address the issue for Superfish and return normal operation.

If you continue to experience issues, you'll need to troubleshoot your site to see if any of the other changes to jQuery have implications for you:

Hi all,

I'm just following up to let you know that the common.js file has been redeployed to all servers. The problem of the Translate widget not showing up has been resolved. If your not using the centrally managed assets you will want to grab a new copy from http://ioc.uncg.edu/incuncg/assets/.

I did notice in my chrome browser on one site that I needed to clear my browser cache before the change took effect. If you continue to have problems, you may want to go to your browser setting and clear your cache.

Let me know if you have any questions.
