The following announcement was sent to all Dept. of Psychology Grad Students:

We are pleased to announce the 2016 Auke Tellegen Fellowship in Applied Personality Assessment. This award will support summer graduate research. The Fellowship will be in the form of a stipend of $4,000. The award also includes up to an additional $300 to cover the cost of the budgeted materials, travel, and expendables associated with the successful execution of the project. These funds must be spent during the period of the award and cannot be carried forward into the academic year.

Eligibility
Students must be enrolled full-time in one of the department's core Ph.D. programs, must be in good standing, and must be actively engaged in a productive program of research related to the theme of the fellowship during the period of the award. The theme of the fellowship is applied personality assessment research and practice.

What constitutes research in applied personality assessment? Research in applied personality assessment involves the use or development of personality inventories to assess major aspects of human behavior and its correlates in clinical, forensic, occupational, or social settings. Examples include (but are not limited to) the following:
-Use of an established personality inventory to characterize major trait domains of personality in a clinical
sample
-Use of personality instruments in clinical, forensic, or personnel screening assessments
-Development of a new inventory to characterize a clinically relevant domain of behavior
-Characterization of brain-based correlates of major personality trait domains

Work that is exclusively quantitative in nature will not be considered. This fellowship is equivalent to a 50% position. Award recipients may not have cumulative sources of funding that exceed 75% during the summer months.

Acknowledgment: Please note that the successful candidate for the award must agree to cite the Tellegen  Fellowship in Applied Personality Assessment in projects, publications, etc. that stem from this source of support and must also agree to correspond with the donors regarding final progress on the work described in the proposal.

The attached application, and supporting documents, are due to Rachel Goeller by Noon Friday, March 18th, 2016 (applications should be submitted electronically to deco...@umn.edu).

Thank You!
