The following announcement was sent to all Dept. of Psychology Grad Students:

APA's Science Directorate sponsors an annual competition for graduate student travel awards. The purpose of the travel award program is to help psychology graduate students travel to the annual APA convention to present their research.

In 2015, approximately 100 students received $300 to support their travel to the APA convention in Toronto. In addition to being eligible to apply for a travel award, students who are both members of APAGS and first authors are also eligible to have their convention registration fees waived. Further information about this potential fee waiver will be mailed to eligible students by early June.

Applicants for this award must be student affiliates or associate members of APA, research papers or posters must already have been accepted by an APA division for presentation, and applicants must be endorsed by their Psychology Department (we may endorse three students).

Eligibility requirements and application instructions/forms for the 2016 APA Student Travel Award may be found at http://www.apa.org/about/awards/scidir-stutrav.aspx.

Applications are due to Rachel Goeller, in S258 or by email (deco...@umn.edu) by noon on Friday March 4th

Thank You.
