Good Afternoon,

Tomorrow the U.S. House is expected to vote on the Heroes Act, which includes a 15% boost to SNAP benefits, increases the minimum monthly benefit from $16 to $30 and other expansions you can read about here.

As you all are likely seeing firsthand, the need across the state for food assistance has been overwhelming. These increased SNAP benefits are sorely needed to help people who are struggling to put food on the table and also to support local economies through spending at area food retailers.

It would be wonderful to see Minnesota’s Congressional Representatives take action across party lines to provide this needed relief.

If you have 2 minutes today or tomorrow to call your U.S. Representatives, please find their contact info here and deliver a short message like this:

The Heroes Act includes increased SNAP benefits that are sorely needed to help people who are struggling to put food on the table and also to support local economies through spending at area food retailers. As a constituent, I urge you to vote in favor of this critical relief for our community.

Thanks and stay well!
