Canvas, which became unavailable early this morning, has been restored system-wide around 6pm CST tonight.
The outage was caused by a widespread Amazon Web Services (AWS) issue. When engineers at Amazon resolved their issues, it was possible for Canvas to become available again.
A post-mortem analysis will be forthcoming in an effort to prevent a future service disruption of this kind and minimize impact to Canvas users.
