TB Test for T32 Fellow

Hi all,

Has anyone run into charging costs for the required TB medical testing for incoming fellows as a direct charge to a T32? We had a new fellow start and she got her TB test done prior to her fellow start date as is required, not realizing that she could get it done at Boynton and that the GME office would cover the cost. So far the GME office has said that there isn't a mechanism for them to pay the cost unless it's done through Boynton, but I have asked about the fellow paying the cost out of pocket and being reimbursed with a GME chartstring - I have not heard back yet.

Has anyone had these costs come through on T32s? The test is required for incoming T32 fellows so seems allowable that way, but they are also required to be done before their actual fellowship appointment, so that seems unallowable on the grant. I can ask if the faculty mentor is willing to cover the TB test on her non-sponsored funds.
