NIH Training Grant and Effort Certification Exceptions (T32)

The UM policy for Effort Certification has a section for Effort Certification. In the policy under Exceptions, it reads, The requirement that  PI must certify at least 1% effort does not apply.......dissertation and training grants.  Is this one category (dissertation and training grants) or is it two categories (dissertation, and training grants)?

I believe that those are two categories. You can confirm this by contacting David Hagen in the effort unit.
