Hello,
We just received a NOA for a F30. We included tuition and fees in the proposal and were awarded 60% as usual. I noticed in the NOA they listed this amount as "Other" as opposed to tuition and fees. I am just curious if anyone knows why they would call this "Other" and not tuition and fees. I know there are restrictions around rebudgeting out of tuition and fees so I was hoping for some clarification. This same situation is also coming up for a F32 we received.
Thanks,
Rachel

Hi! That is just a difference in wording choice. The NOGA should include the budget-level account numbers provided on your PS-friendly budget. Here is the award announcement (most recent, I think): https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-19-036.html - subsection A addresses the tuition and fees.
