cost transfer 15 months from original transaction

I have a JE waiting for approval for a visa extension fee for an individual, incurred in May 2019, that received a fellowship on a project run through SPA that began October 2019. The sponsor in an Aug. 28, 2020 email has indicated that it is a valid expense from their end as it is for a visa for when covered by the fellowship, were JEs after 1 year old not to be charged? I am having trouble locating that information.

Hi Kathy,

The procedure states, “ No original charges older than 12 months may be moved onto a sponsored project.”  In this instance you could ask for an exception to policy. Since this policy is owned by the Controller’s org they have delegated the exceptions given to Nicole Pilman in SFR. I would guess that since the sponsor is ok with it, she would probably consider an exception. Let me know if you have any questions.
