Impeded Flow Process - long running time?

Hello ACPF practitioners.

I am running the toolset using ArcGIS Pro 2.7

I tried running on a small watershed and the process was taking 3+ hrs. I cancelled it.

Can someone comment on typical run times for this step?

Hi there, 

I don't use ArcGIS Pro but in ArcMap 10.8 the Impeded Flow step typically completes in under a minute for me.

Thank you for responding.

I am using MS OneDrive and I have been writing both local and to cloud. That is stalling the process.

I then switched to local only (see below - "Status" should be solid green check circle and not hollow check circle). The processes are now finishing in 1-3 minutes.

Good to hear Dale...This is an important take home message for all ACPF users. Do Not Use Cloud or Network drives for the software, the toolbox, or the data...ESRI stuff just is not optimized for those kinds of environments. There is too much going on behind the scenes, in terms of temporary files and tables, to support those processing environments.
