Document Management (ImageNow) will be unavailable 1 a.m. Saturday, July 27–Sunday, July 28, for planned maintenance to move data to a new storage infrastructure. ImageNow data currently stored on an aging storage system will be migrated to a more reliable enterprise storage solution. It is expected that service will be restored by approximately midnight Monday, July 29.

Updates will be available on the University’s System Status site. Questions or concerns should be directed to oia-imaging@lists.umn.edu or the IT Service Desk at (612) 301-4357 (1-HELP on campus). ServiceNow users can refer to CHG0034036 for updates and details.

Beginning Monday, July 22nd, for five days prior to the outage weekend, we plan on freezing all current and existing documents asread-only to enable an accurate snapshot of the system. 
  • During this period, all users will continue to have 99% application functionality including:
    • The ability to add new documents and index new documents.
    • The ability to modify existing document keys and edit notes.
  • The exception
    • Documents scanned over a year ago can not be deleted or have their annotations modified.
      • Documents that have recently been scanned over the last month will still be able to be deleted.
