My name is Justyna Zwolak and I am a mathematician at NIST and, as of May 2022, also an affiliate fellow in QuICS and an adjunct assistant professor in the UMIACS. I am reaching out to you because I have a research opportunity (through the NIST-PREP program) that might be of interest to some statistics students. The project summary is attached to this email. The basing idea is to develop an explainable machine-learning approach to the classification of data coming from experimental physics.

I would appreciate it if you could pass this opportunity on to any students you think might be interested. Interested students should reach out to me directly.

Thank you,
Justyna Zwolak
