Please see the opportunity below from the D. E. Shaw group regarding their Summer 2027 internship program.
The internships are open to students from a variety of academic backgrounds and offer opportunities to work on projects related to technology, quantitative research, investing, and other areas across the firm. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with interviews expected to begin next month.
Students may:
- Learn more about the internship experience through the firm's informational video.
- Apply for one or more internship opportunities through the D. E. Shaw group website.
- Submit a recruiting timeline form if they are currently interviewing with other organizations.
- Express interest in future opportunities, even if they have already accepted a Summer 2027 internship elsewhere.

Hope you’re doing well! I wanted to get back in touch about some new opportunities with
the D. E. Shaw group. We’re now accepting applications for our summer 2027 internship program. If you know any students in Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute of Maryland who might be interested in applying or learning more about our recruiting timeline, please feel free to pass along this email.
Students can check out this video to see what it’s like to intern with us and visit our website to apply for as many roles as they’re interested in. We review applications on a rolling basis and plan to begin interviewing candidates early next month. I also want to note that we don’t set time limits on our offers, regardless of whether students are already in the recruiting process elsewhere.
