Hello All --
This announcement that I am forwarding from Census is for a Graduate Internship position at the Census Bureau that can be used by a strong graduate student while finishing his/her degree with applied interests related to Census Bureau concerns who is a US citizen. The announcement is attached below, and refers to employment in Research sections of the Bureau (primarily, the Center for Statistical Research and Methodology which is where I am located in the Census Bureau). Any interested student could come to talk with me about research and Grad internship arrangements at the Census Bureau.
Topics of current relevance to Census Bureau include (but are not limited to) Statistics (including Sample Survey Theory but also modeling and empirical-Bayes Small Area Estimation and computational and Bayesian statistics and Time Series), Mathematics of Data Science including Machine Learning, and Computer Science topics related to Differential Privacy and Record Linkage.
Please let me know if you think there are any interested students.
Thank you,
Eric
