Please note the December 1 deadline for the nominations (so I need to receive the information from students and their advisors well ahead of time).Best,Leonid KoralovFrom: Chris Marshall <ch...@slmath.org>

Reply-To: ch...@slmath.orgDear Colleagues,The purpose of this email is to inform you of the Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute's (SLMath) 2023 Summer Graduate Schools. Attached you will find detailed information about the nomination process, a description of each summer school, and a flyer for distribution.
For details, please visit: www.msri.org/sgs
We appreciate your help in identifying students who can benefit from attending these schools.IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The MSRI registration period for the 2023 summer schools will begin at 10:00am Pacific Time on December 1, 2022 and will continue until filled or no later than February 1, 2023.
- Nominations will be submitted online. The link to the online nomination form will be sent to you at a later date. It will also be found on the MSRI Summer Graduate School webpage.
- The admission policy will be on a first-come, first-served basis by day. In other words, all nominations received on December 1, 2022 will be given equal consideration.
- Nominations will NOT be accepted prior to December 1, 2022.
- Due to the small number of students supported by MSRI for offsite summer schools, only one student from any given institution will be funded by MSRI to attend each offsite school
- If an onsite school is oversubscribed, only one student per institution may be funded by MSRI. We urge you to keep this in mind when submitting your list of nominations.
- If you are the Graduate Director or the Mathematics Department Chair of your institution and you did not receive this information directly from MSRI, please inform us at co...@msri.org so that we may update our contact information.
- Those institutions who are still owed spots due to the pandemic will be notified separately.
