Dear Professor Levy,

I hope this message finds you well.  I am writing to request your support in advertising a career opportunity that may be of interest to students and postdocs within your Applied Mathematics and Statistics and Scientific computation Department—the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Postdoctoral Scholars Program.

The DTRA Postdoctoral Scholars Program provides postdoctoral scholars with the opportunity to work alongside Department of Defense program managers directly supporting DTRA’s mission of combating weapons of mass destruction.  As a DTRA Postdoctoral Scholar, candidates are trained in technical and program management and federal government acquisition support.  This program not only supports the professional development of young scholars but also fosters collaboration between academic institutions and government agencies.

The attached flyer briefly explains the program and how to apply.  To learn more about this program and see current job openings, please visit our program’s website: https://hemi.jhu.edu/hemi-postdoctoral-scholars-program/.  I would appreciate if you could share this information amongst your students/postdocs.

Thank you for considering this request.
Sincerely,

Andrew Proulx
