Dear Prof. Levy,

Our Institute, the DoD Biotechnology High Performance Computing Software Applications Institute (bhsai.org), a U.S. Army-funded computational biology research organization located in Frederick, Maryland, is hiring scientists to join our Computational Modeling group to develop and apply computational solutions to biomedical problems related to the military population.

We are looking for candidates with a Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related physical-science discipline with expertise in one or more of the following areas: phenomenological- or first-principles-based modeling; systems biology approaches based on using multi-omics data (e.g., transcriptomics and metabolomics); and modeling biological networks relevant to infectious disease, immune responses, and human disorders. Experience in physiological modeling using a variety of methods, such as flux balance analysis, ordinary/partial differential equations, and stochastic simulations, is an added plus.
