Upcoming events

This hands-on course will cover all aspects of time-resolved serial crystallography experiments, from data collection to electron density analysis. By the end of the course participants will be able to design and perform experiments relevant for their own scientific projects.

6 – 10 July 2026
EMBO Practical Course  EMBL Hamburg

Application deadline 30 March
This conference will unite experts to explore how metabolism shapes ecosystems, promoting cross-disciplinary insight and sustainable system management.

21 – 24 July 2026
EMBO | EMBL Symposium  EMBL Heidelberg and Virtual

Abstract deadline 14 April
The course will provide researchers with an overview and the theoretical foundations of state-of-the-art methods for multi-modal integration, with a focus on omics data. It is aimed at PhD students and post-docs in computational biology wanting to improve their skills in multi-omics data integration methodologies.

28 – 31 July 2026
EMBO Practical Course  EMBL Heidelberg
Application deadline 21 April
Proteins are fundamental to biological processes, and understanding their sequence, structure, and function is crucial for various applications in research. This one-day, hands-on virtual workshop will guide participants through a structured, programmatic workflow using EMBL-EBI resources.

2 June 2026
EMBL-EBI Course • Virtual
Application deadline 8 April
This brand-new conference will focus on the emerging frontiers of plankton science made possible by a decade of TaraOceans research. Together, we’ll explore the key questions that have arisen from recent discoveries and the opportunities unlocked by new technologies, methods, and ideas across the biological sciences.
