Perhaps of interest to some of you.

Subject: Empathy in Silicon: Giving Voice to Feeling through Generative AI

Hope you don't mind me 'cold-emailing' you, but I think we have an interesting event coming up considering your interest in Machine Learning and genetics/health sciences. We will soon have a visit by Prof. Bjorn Schuller who is Head of CHI - Chair of Health Informatics, Technical University of Munich (TUM). He will be specifically talking about Emotion and AI (with a link to healthcare as well). Therefore, I thought it could be of interest to you (and maybe your colleagues/students at the Bioinformatics research group).

The talk is on 6 June at 14:00 at the Institute of Digital Games - University of Malta and more info can be found here: https://game.edu.mt/blog/empathy-in-silicon-giving-voice-to-feeling-through-generative-ai-by-bjorn-schuller/

In any case, look forward to hearing from you and maybe see you at the Institute at some point in the future. In fact, if you have an interest in machine learning you may already be in touch with Prof. Yannakakis (and if not, it might be worth connecting!)

Kind regards,
Jasper
